This week our Senior Spotlight shines on Elaina Kirby! A talented member of our academic team who's been at Berea for 13 years. Let's show some love to Elaina, we can't wait to see all you go on to achieve!

This week for Throwback Thursday we're taking you back to 2008 in celebration of our boys soccer team's big win on Tuesday, their first victory over Model since 2008. Let's give it up for our Pirate athletes as we take a stroll down memory lane and reflect on the last 17 years of Pirate pride at Berea Community Schools. Anyone from class of '08 out there? We'd love to hear your memories!

We're kicking off our new Superintendent Student Advisory Council, and we're looking for a group of responsible, proactive students to represent Berea.
We want YOUR voice informing the way we run our schools. Students deserve a seat at the table so their input and feedback can guide our decisions.
Interested students should apply through the QR code above!

The challenge was to build a mechanism that would exert a force on an object in the opposite direction of the desired ball’s motion. The students worked together to come up with lots of creative solutions and fun designs. We applaud our students for thinking outside the box, let's go engineering!

- Boys and Girls All A Regional Soccer this week! Boys will play at home and the girls travel to LCA. Good luck!
- Shout out to our Boys and Girls Golf teams so far this year. Individual golfers for each team have posted some very impressive scores. Great job!

Strong financial planning ensures that we can continue focusing on what matters most - supporting our students, staff, and community. We're grateful for the work done every day to keep our district on solid ground and for the guidance from RSA in helping us make smart, sustainable decisions.

Last Friday, band and choir students gathered in Kennedy Theater for a special performance from Dogtown Road, featuring Karl Wohlwend (guitar, vocals), Tyler Moore (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), and Tim O’Neill (percussion, vocals). Students were introduced to traditional and non-traditional Irish Celtic instruments and music, and they had a lot of good questions about the history of Celtic music and the performers musical background. We love seeing our students connect with musical traditions from around the world!

Throwback Thursday!
This week we're throwing it back to 2011's Prom. Can you believe it's been 14 years? Anyone remember these pirates? Feel free to chime in with your memories!

Nathan has been at Berea for seven years and after graduation he plans to play college baseball and/or go into law enforcement. His favorite teachers include Mrs. Natasha and Mr. Caudill, and many of his favorite memories are set on the baseball field. We can't wait to see what Nathan goes on to achieve!
More about the class of '26 coming soon, stay tuned!

We'd like to wish a happy (day-late) birthday to our wonderful FRYSC Director, Natasha Johnson! We appreciate all the amazing work you do for our community!

Exciting night last night at the season opener for our HS Volleyball team. Here's to a great season for our Lady Pirates!
