Superintendent's Message 07/01/2025

Berea Families,

I am honored to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of Berea Independent Schools. Today marks my first day in this role, and I am both excited and deeply appreciative of the trust the Board of Education and this community have placed in me to lead our district forward.

Throughout my career in education, most recently serving as a K-12 principal, I have had the privilege of working closely with students, families, and staff across all grade levels. This experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the many pieces that must come together to create a successful school system. From early childhood learning to high school graduation and beyond, I have seen firsthand how each stage contributes to building strong, confident, and capable young people.

As your superintendent, my primary goal is to ensure that we offer the very best educational experience for every student. Equally important, I am committed to restoring and strengthening the reputation of our district through transparent, involved, and responsive leadership. I believe that trust is built through open communication, consistent engagement, and a shared commitment to what is best for our children.

In the coming weeks and months, we will be organizing opportunities for families and community members to come together to discuss our schools, share ideas, and collaborate on the work ahead. Your input and partnership will be essential as we chart a positive path forward.
