Berea Community Middle School

Hello...my name is Mr. Charlie Owens. I am the principal of Berea Community Middle School. I am excited to be back at my alma mater. Here are some fun facts about me:

• Native of Berea and BCHS alumnus (Class of 1999)

• Played baseball, basketball, and football for Berea. 

• Played football at and graduated from Union College. 

• 17 years experience in education

• Going into 3rd year as principal at BCMS

• Special Education, Athletics Director, and social studies background

   

My favorite thing about being a principal is the relationships that I get to build with students and teachers on a daily basis. I pride myself on communication and building a positive culture within our school. The goal of Berea Community Middle School is to help students develop independence as they grow from kids into young adults.  

I am thankful for the opportunity Berea has given me to give back to the school that helped shape me into the person I am today.
