Program for Families

Exercise Together (open to all middle school families, self-paced, sign up by June 11 to allow for materials distribution in mid-June)

Description: Enjoy fitness activities that you can do at home together as a family. Create your own exercise dice, receive a deck of exercise cards and document your exercise journey. Optional group walks and hikes.

Songwriting with Jeri Katherine Howell (open to all students entering 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grades)

Description: Students will write and develop the lyrics to their own song with Americana/folk singer-songwriter Jeri Katherine Howell. Zoom link will be provided upon registration.

Cartooning with Chris Epling (open to all students entering 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grades)

Description: Students will combine creative writing with the visual arts to make their own cartoon. Program is led by Chris Epling, cartoonist, author and illustrator. Zoom link will be provided upon registration.

Tell Your Pandemic Story with Yolantha Pace (joint program with BCHS, open to any student entering 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades)

Description: Students will use their unique voice to tell their pandemic story from the past year. Zoom link will be provided upon registration. If there is interest, the final day will be an in-person storytelling event.

Dates: July 19, 20, 21, 27

Time: 1-2 p.m. via Zoom with in-person option for final day if interest
